Hotels we drive to in Puerto de la Cruz

Whether you are staying on the seafront by Lago Martianez or in a garden hotel above the town, your transfer from Tenerife airport to Puerto de la Cruz crosses the island to your door. Below are the hotels we drive to most, with the best known described in full.

Any address in Puerto de la Cruz costs the same. We have no link with the hotels named here; they are simply some of the best known in the area.

H10 Tenerife Playa

H10 Tenerife Playa stands on the seafront at Avenida Colon, facing the Lago Martianez pools. It runs on an all-inclusive basis. There are two pools for adults, one heated in winter, a children's pool, a jacuzzi and a garden with Balinese beds. The spa and the gym are on the tenth floor, with views over the sea. Family rooms and a day and evening entertainment programme suit a family holiday, and the minibus crosses the island to the door, from €200 for your whole group.

Hotel Botanico

Hotel Botanico is a five-star grand luxury hotel on Avenida Richard J. Yeoward, next to the botanical garden of Puerto de la Cruz. Its own gardens cover about 25,000 square metres, with Mount Teide in view. The Oriental Spa Garden takes up some 3,500 square metres of them. It was the first hotel in the Canary Islands to join The Leading Hotels of the World. For a stay like this, the private minibus waits for you inside arrivals and drives you to the entrance, from €200 for your whole group.

Melia Costa Atlantis

Melia Costa Atlantis stands on Avenida Venezuela in Puerto de la Cruz. It reopened after a four million euro renovation. In its gardens are two outdoor pools, one for adults and one for children. That makes it an easy choice for a family stay in the north, close to Lago Martianez and the old town. The whole family and the cases travel in one minibus across the island, from €200 for your whole group.

About Puerto de la Cruz

The old town

Puerto de la Cruz was one of the first tourist towns in the Canary Islands, named a site of national tourist interest in 1955. Its historic quarter keeps more than 140 protected buildings around Plaza del Charco. By the sea, Plaza de Europa opens out beside the town hall.

Across the island, in one easy drive

The road runs up the east coast past Santa Cruz, then down into the north. If your airline also flies into Tenerife North, that airport is much closer; most UK flights land at Tenerife South, and that is the drive we price here.

Taxi, bus or private transfer to Puerto de la Cruz?

  • Bus or taxi from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz

The bus from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz runs direct only a few times a day, so after a delayed flight the next one can be a long wait. A taxi from the rank runs on the meter for the whole drive across the island, and a family of five or a group may need two cars.

  • Private transfers, Tenerife South to Puerto de la Cruz

One minibus for up to nine, from €200 for your whole group, with the price agreed before you fly. A late landing or slow traffic on the long drive north changes nothing in what you pay.

Puerto de la Cruz to Tenerife South Airport

Your Puerto de la Cruz airport transfer works the other way too: the same price and the same driver standard, collected from your door at the time you choose. We recommend being at the airport three hours before your flight.
